In October 2018, Gabbi Bolt took the stage at a sold out Tremain’s Mill in Bathurst, NSW. The people in attendance included her fans, family and friends who have seen her grow from her first stage show at age 11 to releasing her first independent EP at age 22.
In October 2018 at the age of 22, Gabbi Bolt staked her claim as an artist to watch out for at a sold out concert in Bathurst NSW, to launch her first independent release.
Gabbi is a classically trained pianist and contemporary performer with over a decade of experience. Her long awaited first EP, Grey into Blue, bonds her solid musical background with her natural talent for pop songwriting. Grey Into Blue brings to mind the sounds of Stevie Wonder, Carole King, Sara Bareilles and Adele, whilst retaining the humour, vocal clarity, and lyrical depth that is so uniquely Gabbi.
Gabbi has performed alongside local and international artists such as Wendy Matthews, Allensworth, Smith and Jones, Siobhan Miller and James Van Cooper. She has appeared regularly at Bathurst’s Inland Sea of Sound Festival sharing the stage with such luminaries as The Cat Empire and Deborah Conway.
In 2019, Gabbi contributed the opening track to the very successful Dreaming of a Green Christmas album for Lifeline drought relief in the Central West of NSW. She is currently writing and road testing new songs for her upcoming album and continues to perform at concerts and festivals across the country.
Gabbi has come a long way since her first appearance on stage at the age of 11. In February, she will once again take to the Inland Sea of Sound stage with her band, sharing the stage with Killing Heidi and childhood idol Missy Higgins.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
(About track Holding On)
"This is definitely a strut song. Bolt's voice is soulful and spunky, her lyricism is witty and quick - I love it all!"
